Approx .60 bore English Griffin & Tow flintlock pistol, Circa 1750. It has all brass fittings with a grotesque face to the butt.
Overall length of the pistol is 15 inches, and the barrel is 8 inches. The bore shows rifling near the muzzle.
The surface of the metal work and barrel is covered with mild rust that has been cleaned.
The wood is very good with just some fine shrinkage cracks near the muzzle where the wood is thin.
This is quite a nice antique pistol that needs no restoration and wood be a nice asset to any collection.
