Fields Patent sporting rifle by Hollis of London in calibre 500/400 Westley Richards No 2 Musket. Feilds Patent of 1877 was a variation on the Martini action which has a large lever on the right hand side of the action, when pushed forward, causes the breech block to open.
The action is very tight, and everything works perfectly.
Most original finish remains to the metal work, and the engraving is still sharp. The bore is very nice.
The wood is excellent and I would guess it has been very lightly re touched in the past.
Here is a very nice, interesting English sporting rifle that can still be used.
