.45 ACP single shot Liberator pistol manufactured in the US during WW2. The idea was that these cheaply produced pistols were dropped into areas of occupied Europe to assist the resistance fighters. There were 4 rounds housed in the butt plus animated instructions on how to use it, as well as a length of dowel to push out the fired case. There were a million produced within a 3 month period but at the end of the war, 600 undelivered guns were dumped into the English channel. This one has been registered in Germany and as such has a serial number plus post war proofs added. These are scarce items in the world today.

Condition is very good and every aspect of the gun appears to operate. The rough finish is exactly how they left the factory.
