.22 Smith & Wesson Model 1891 (First Variation) single shot, break open target pistol with 10 inch barrel. Most original blue remains but there are some scratches on the frame as can be seen in the pictures. The grips are original and very good.
Although the bore is clean, there is considerable wear to the lands and while it is still shootable, it would not be considered for serious target shooting.
There are some unknown US marks (USK 8) to the LH side plate.
The barrel is marked ” Tillhor Sveriges Militara Idrotts Forbund – No 15″ meaning – Property of Sweden’s Military Sports Organization – Gun No 15.

Here is quite a scarce and early collector’s item with some unusual history
