12mm French Le Faucheux Model 1863/79 revolver which was first produced in “Pin Fire” as the Model 1863 and sold to the Swedish military where they were issued in small numbers to both the Artillery and Navy. Most were kept in storage until 1879 when some were converted to centre fire cartridge guns by adding a firing pin to the hammer and a port for the pin to strike the rear of the cartridge. These were designated Model 1863-79 by the Swedish military but again, most were never issued.

Le Faucheux also sold these guns to the US during the civil War where they are now very desirable collector’s items.

Condition is really nice with most original blue and case hardening remaining. The bore is nice and shiny. All markings are clean and sharp as can be seen in the pictures. The grips are excellent with only very light marks.
