Guns for Sale
Russian Model 1895 Nagant revolver manufactured at the Tula factory in 1900. This one has been converted from the 7.62mm Gas Seal cartridge to the 7.65mm Luger cartridge. This was not converted in Russia, but it is believed to have been done in Finland at the Ahlberg plant. Finland was desperate for arms leading up to WW2 and were looking at ways to upgrade the arms that they had in stock. It is understood that the Ahlberg plant (which was going bankrupt) was trying various ideas such as doing conversions, to get work from the military. None of this was formally documented and only a handful of guns were ever converted. This is an interesting revolver which deserves more research.
The holster is genuine and of the period. It has two ammunition pouches attached to its hangers, one of which has a obscure stamp inside.
Condition of the holster is very good for its age with all stitching in place.
The revolver is in very good condition with nice bore. Mose blue remains although fading around the edges. There is a small area of fine pitting to one area beside the top of the grips as can be seen in the pictures.
Please note, all pricing is in New Zealand dollars.
